Revlon PhotoReady Foundation review

So what does this foundation do?

Revlon PhotoReady foundation contains Photochromatic pigments that bend and reflect light to create a flawless finish, it promises a soft, luminous finish, is oil and fragrance free and contains SPF 20.

What did I make of this product?

I really like Revlon's products, and have always bough their lipsticks, so when I saw their PhotoReady foundation, priced at £12.99, I couldn't resist in giving it a try, and it's fair to say that I absolutely love it!
I chose my shade which is called 'Golden Beige' , and it matched my natural colour almost perfectly, which is really good because I often find it hard to find a shade that I feel is right for me. I always put my foundation on in natural light to make sure I'm putting the right amount on etc, and I noticed straight away how much more smooth and flawless this foundation made my skin look! I noticed it kinda has a little glittery effect, which might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it doesn't look tacky at all, it just makes you skin look glowing! Another very good aspect of this foundation is that it lasts a long time, I usually do my make-up at about 8:00am in the morning, and when I get home at 3:45pm it still looks fine! The only time I would re-apply it is if I was going out at night.

This foundation comes in 8 shades, and is also available in a mousse foundation, and in powder form.
I haven't tried the mousse version yet, however I have tried the powder and can positively say that it's just as good as the foundation and I highly recommend using them together, you just have to be careful that you don't put too much of this power on to avoid a cakey look.

Overall I really like this foundation, I really don't have any criticisms for it, or any improvements! Go out and buy it!!

Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara review

The Max Factor 'False Lash Effect' mascara is one of my favourite mascara's out on the beauty market at the moment! I started using it about a year ago, and loved it, when it ran out I tried out a few others but I found none of them had the same effect on my lashes than this certain one! So after those mascara's ran out I decided to go back to Max Factor again!

Now, at £10.99 some people may find it a little pricey, but it's completely worth it! I find that the tube lasts a long time, and I can reassure you that I'm not one of those people who only put's on one thin coat! I think lashes are one of the most important and impacting things in a make-up routine, and this mascara makes my eyes seem bigger and brighter!

There are a few variations of this mascara, for example there is the original black tube (my favourite), that looks like this:

However this mascara is also available in organge and gold tubes, as well as these there is also a waterproof version available!

As well as these four, also available are Max Factor 'False Lash Effect Fusion' and '24 Hour Black'

Now, admittedly there are a lot of different ones. However I have found the original 'False Lash Effect' to be the best! I found the waterproof version to be almost too strong! So if you're after a really good mascara that you can wear on holiday in the pool, that's the one for you! The '24 Hour Black' version, I found made my lashes a little clumpy, so I suggest using a second thinner-brushed mascara to separate your lashes afterwards.

So, what are the disadvantages of the 'False Lash Effect' mascara? I have to say, I haven't noticed any huge downfalls of the mascara! The only things I would consider as a little bit of a let down is the fact that it does crumble sometimes, and also the fact that it's not very waterproof, so don't go swimming with it on! (or use the waterproof version)

Overall this is an absolutely brilliant mascara, I will be sticking to this product for a long time, and I highly recommend it!

Let me know what you think about this mascara!
